This member of LiPPERT's Thunderbird family of Mini-ITX boards offers a wide range of multimedia interfaces together with high computing performance and gives designers of high-end multimedia devices an easy choice and allows very fast time to market. It can run Microsoft's Windows XP Media Center Edition as well as Linux, thereby providing great flexibility with regard to software.
The Thunderbird/MM (MM for multimedia) sports Intel's top-of-the-line Pentium® M processor 745 running at 1.8GHz clock. It supplements the Thunderbird family with a module especially designed with modern multimedia systems in mind. The Thunderbird/MM uses a Digital Video Interface-Integrated (DVI) channel to connect to high quality displays. Digital S/PDIF interfaces offer loss less audio data transmission, optional over fiber optical cable. Six channels of 18-bit, AC97 compatible sound I/O can be used in this way.
Two FireWire (IEEE 1394) ports allow very fast communication with cameras or external storage devices. An integrated mini-PCI slot can be used for wireless network interfaces and other special functions. The Thunderbird/MM comes together with a CD containing drivers and documentation.

Thunderbird/MM: Downloads
We support our customers with BIOS binaries and all kinds of drivers for our embedded X86 boards. Usually, there's at least support for Windows and Linux. Some selected boards are also supported with drivers for real time operating systems.Check the table state below for the list of drivers and the current BIOS version. Please contact our support if the required driver is not listed on this web site.
BIOS loader
To burn the BIOS binary into your module's Flash PROM, there is a universal loader program available that works with most of our single bard computers. This tool requires DOS to run.
