The new PC/104 form factor based SBC ‘Cool LiteRunner-86DX’ is powered by the low power X86 compatible processor family Vortex 86DX. Overall the Cool LiteRunner-86DX SBC supports the following interfaces:
In addition to these traditional PC interfaces the Cool LiteRunner-86DX offers two extras; A user configurable FPGA and an integrated GPS module. As the board does not have an integrated graphics unit, graphics can either be added as an IP core within the FPGA, or by using the PC/104 extension or the mini-PCI slot. The SBC is capable of working redundantly in a stacked configuration, which is often required in safety critical applications. The integrated system management controller adds health monitoring functions (LEMT) to the system. LiPPERT offers the Cool LiteRunner-86DX for operation in standard and industrial operating temperature ranges. On request, models qualified for extended ambient temperatures of -20°C…+85°C are also available.
